“From Broken to Bossed Up…”
How I Took My Power Back…

There was a time—not too long ago—when I couldn’t recognize the woman in the mirror.
I had the job, the title, the relationship, and the “on paper” life. But inside? I was running on fumes. Pouring into people who didn’t pour back. Smiling through heartbreak. Saying “yes” when my soul was screaming “girl, stop.” I had mastered being strong for everyone but me.
It all came crashing down one Tuesday. That’s the part people don’t talk about—it’s not always dramatic. Sometimes it’s quiet. I was sitting in my car, still parked in the driveway after work, just… numb. Tired. Invisible. And in that silence, something inside me whispered,
“This can’t be it. You were made for more.”
That was the beginning.
Not the kind of beginning where everything magically changes overnight—but the kind where you start choosing yourself in small, rebellious, beautiful ways. I started going to therapy. I unfollowed accounts that made me feel less-than. I turned off my phone and turned on my boundaries. I said “no” more. I started journaling. Meditating. Saying affirmations that felt foreign at first but eventually felt like truth.
I didn’t just heal. I rebuilt.
Today, I’m not the same woman—and I don’t want to be. I’m softer but stronger. I left the job that drained me and launched my own brand. I learned to love solitude, then welcomed love on my terms. I replaced survival mode with alignment. And baby, the glow is not just external—it’s in my voice, my energy, my presence.
I’m not broken anymore. I’m bossed up. And best believe—I didn’t lose myself, I found her.
“I followed my partner to New York, we broke up, and I moved back to my hometown. Turns out, it was just what I needed.”
